Our Trustees

Jo Armistead

Jo is retired from a career in education and working with children and families. Her first job after college was in an out of school club in London! Later, as a working mother Jo relied on childcare to keep working. She knows how valuable reliable childcare is for parents. And from her children and grandchildren’s experiences, she knows that the quality of the childcare is just as important. Jo is proud to be a trustee of an out of school club that offers wraparound care, year round, that is enjoyed by children and appreciated by parents.

Paul Jackson

Paul is a retired Army Officer completing 36 years of Service in the Army Medical Services as a Nurse and Healthcare Manager. During this time, he has relied on Breakfast Clubs and After school clubs for his 3 children, 1 of which currently attends Kool Kids. He realises the importance of these clubs for working families and wanted to ensure that Kool Kids was able offer the best wraparound care possible that meets the needs of the children and parents.

Craig Vincent

Craig is a Partner at Stone King LLP, based in the firm’s Leeds office, and lives locally to the school. He is an experienced HR professional who works exclusively across the education and charity sectors, supporting schools, multi-academy trusts, and community organisations with a wide range of people and organisational matters.

With a strong commitment to public service, Craig is passionate about giving back to his local community. He has previously served in several school governor roles, contributing to strategic planning, safeguarding oversight, and staff wellbeing initiatives. His background gives him a clear understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by schools, wraparound care providers, and the wider education landscape.

Craig is also a parent to two children currently at CWR, both of whom attend Kool Kids. Having seen first‑hand the positive impact the club has had on his children, from the welcoming environment to the supportive staff, he is genuinely grateful for the care and stability it has provided throughout their time at the school.

In addition to his professional expertise, Craig brings strong skills in leadership, HR strategy, and organisational development. He is committed to helping ensure that Kool Kids continues to be a safe, nurturing, and well‑run environment that supports both children and staff. His blend of professional experience and personal connection to the school community enables him to offer a balanced, thoughtful perspective in any governance or advisory capacity.
